+ Students can register for more than 15 credits in one semester (Credit/Semester) without paying additional tuition fees, but they are not allowed to register for more than 18 credits per semester.

+ Students registering for fewer than 15 credits per semester still have to pay the full tuition fee amount.

The formal undergraduate program includes 125 credits.

After the admission procedures, the "Orientation Week" will be the first academic activity for new students at Phu Xuân University. The orientation week activities will include getting acquainted with the environment, academic regulations; plans and requirements for the next step (Military Semester); activities for new students to get to know each other and with previous students; and getting familiar with the advanced English learning methods applied to help new students overcome fear and hesitation when learning English.

Starting from the academic year 2018-2019, all students without a certificate in Security - National Defense Education (a mandatory requirement for a university degree) will participate in the concentrated "Military Semester". Not only to obtain the Security - National Defense Education certificate, the Military Semester also helps students get acquainted with collective living, discipline, and professional manners – essential requirements for students to achieve good results in their studies at Phu Xuân University and ensure job opportunities upon graduation.

Each academic year at Phu Xuân University begins in September and ends in August of the following year. Each academic year is divided into 3 semesters, 2 regular semesters lasting 4.5 months each (with an additional Summer semester in the second year, lasting 2 months).

After the first two years, students have been equipped with foundational knowledge and skills to ensure the ability to work correctly in their professional fields. The refinement and specialization stage consists of 2 semesters, aiming to fulfill the compulsory knowledge requirements of the university level as well as entering into in-depth research topics. This stage includes two full semesters of the third academic year, including:

The graduation stage consists of two full semesters (4 – 6 months) with two courses, each course lasting from 3–6 months depending on specific conditions, with a total of 30 credits. This is also the stage for students to supplement any missing credits or complete unfinished courses (if any). The two courses in the graduation stage include:

On-the-Job Training (OJT) in a business environment 4-6 months 15 credits
Thesis preparation and defense 3-4 months 10 credits
+ Add graduation period 7-10 months 25 credits

In addition to the specialized content, Phu Xuân University's undergraduate program also includes other courses to ensure the comprehensive development of students and meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Training, conducted in parallel with the main program.

The tuition fees at Phu Xuan University are collected per semester, regardless of the field of study. The tuition fee ranges from 660,000 VND to 900,000 VND per student per credit.

For applicants who are admitted, there are various types of fees to be paid: 1) Admission examination fees. These are one-time fees. In 2023, the fee board at Phu Xuan University is as follows:

(**) Enrollment registration fee covers uniform, backpack, and various orientation, opening ceremony, and orientation week activities (except for the English part during orientation week, which is included in the first semester tuition).
