Congratulations to Dr. Pham Hung Hiep, Director of the Research and Practice Center for Education at Phu Xuan University, one of the four scientists and the only representative from Vietnam to receive the annual award from the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) - The Study Abroad and International Student (SAIS) Network in 2022.

On April 19, 2022, Dr. Pham Hung Hiep was awarded the "Outstanding Faculty for Internationalization Award" for his positive contributions to research and the promotion of the international student network in Asia and to Asia from 2016 to the present. This award was honored at the annual awards ceremony of the Comparative and International Education Society - The Study Abroad and International Student (SAIS) Network in 2022.

It is noted that Dr. Pham Hung Hiep's works on this topic have been published in leading journals in education in general and international education in particular, such as the Journal of Studies in International Education, Asia Pacific Education Researcher, and Scientometrics.

Since 2020, Dr. Hiep has also been a member of the editorial board of the Journal of International Students (Scopus Citescore 1.8) as well as several other domestic and international journals in the field of education.
In this year's award season, CIES-SAIS also awarded prizes in other categories such as Outstanding Dissertation (Natalie Cruz, Charleston Southern University), Outstanding Paper (Dr. Melissa Whatley, School of International Training, and Dr. Santiago Castiello-Gutierrez, University of Arizona), Outstanding Reference Book (QianQian Zhang-Wu, Northeastern University), and Global Student Leadership (Saurabh Anand, University of Georgia).
It is worth mentioning that The Study Abroad and International Student (SAIS) Network was established in 2017 as a part of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES), founded in 2017 in the United States.
The network's mission is to promote interdisciplinary academic exchange opportunities to connect practitioners and researchers in the field of international students, thereby better serving the global international student community.
