On the morning of July 14, 2019, at the campus of Phu Xuan University, a solemn ceremony was held to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the university's establishment and to award diplomas to more than 100 new graduates.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Thai Son - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Committee, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho - Chairman of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Linh - Director of Hue University. In addition, Mr. David Armstrong JR, Honorary President of Broward University, senior advisor to Phu Xuan University, and leaders from various departments, press agencies, local and international businesses, as well as alumni of the university.
Dr. Dam Quang Minh, President of Phu Xuan University, stated that Phu Xuan University was established on July 11, 2003. Since then, there have been many generations of graduates who have achieved success. With the educational philosophy "Simultaneously training Attitude - Skills - Knowledge in the ASK model (Attitude - Skills - Knowledge)," Phu Xuan University aims to build a model of a new-generation university, closely linking education to real-life situations and the country's labor needs.
Mr. David Armstrong JR, Honorary President of Broward University and senior advisor to Phu Xuan University, emotionally shared: "I love Vietnam very much, and every time I come to Hue, there are memorable experiences. The students are sincere, honest, amiable, and hardworking. Phu Xuan University has left a beautiful impression on me, with a friendly learning environment, modern facilities meeting the study, teaching, and research needs of students."
At the ceremony, 107 students were awarded graduation diplomas in majors such as Accounting, Business Administration, English Language, Chinese Language, Vietnamese Studies, Information Technology, and Physical Education. Among them, 18 students graduated with honors, and 65 students graduated with distinction. These students have continuously worked hard to achieve the results they have today.
The ceremony ended beautifully, promising a new chapter for the graduates with many new experiences. Best wishes to them for a quick integration and success in their careers, pursuing their passions and aspirations, contributing to the country's development, and becoming useful citizens for their families and society.
