Studying in the field of Information Technology at Phu Xuan University is the only place with a commitment to providing job placement for 100% of students. Unlike other universities that only collaborate with businesses, large IT enterprises are located right on the campus, making it easy for students to access. The academic program also includes a semester taught directly by business leaders. Many IT students from other universities even come to Phu Xuan for short courses to facilitate job placement. The university is the only institution to date that has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province to supply 10,000 IT personnel in the period 2020-2030, turning Hue into an IT center for the region.

IT is an economic sector with very high demand for human resources, not only in Vietnam but also in developed countries such as Japan, the United States, Australia, and other Southeast Asian countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand). IT companies from Japan or Vietnam targeting the Japanese/American market have begun to implement plans to open branches in Hue.
IT graduates can also take on various roles in different organizations such as technology companies, financial institutions, banks, business entities, government agencies, schools, etc.

The main enrollment period for regular undergraduate programs at Phu Xuan University begins after the annual September 2nd holiday. New students start their journey by entering the university and participating in the "Orientation Week" to familiarize themselves with the new learning environment, teachers, the university, peers, and students from previous years.
Following this, new students will engage in a "Military Semester" that lasts for three weeks. This is a crucial period for new students to get accustomed to collective living, develop collaborative habits, team spirit, and obtain the Security Education and National Defense certificate, which is a mandatory requirement for a bachelor's degree.

This semester involves students learning in the practical environment of a business. In addition to accumulating 15 specialized credits, students will become familiar with the practical requirements of the job and be guided by working experts.
