Let's hear about Hoa's experiences in the learning process as well as her secrets to success!
Q: Hello Bich Hoa, can you share the reason why you chose Chinese Language to pursue?
Bích Hóa: Initially, I didn't intend to study Chinese. The major I wanted to choose was English Language. However, a close friend of mine chose Chinese Language and shared that this major has many prospects and higher job opportunities. I could also study English as a secondary language. After researching and realizing the advantages of this major, I decided to choose Chinese Language as my main field of study.
Q: There are quite a few universities offering this major now. Why did you entrust your university journey to Phu Xuan University?
Bích Hóa: The reason I chose Chinese Language at Phu Xuan University is that I found the environment here very suitable for my studies. PXU provides us with all the necessary equipment to support our learning. In addition, the teachers at PXU have many years of teaching experience. And a special thing about PXU is that the university duration is only from 3 years to 3 and a half years.
Q: With the reality from your own experience, can you share about the job opportunities for students majoring in Chinese Language in general and students majoring in Chinese Language at Phu Xuan University in particular?
Bích Hóa: People often ask me questions like "What's the point of learning Chinese?" or "What jobs can you do with Chinese?". As far as I know, Chinese Language is a "super hot" major nowadays with many job opportunities related to Chinese Language, such as Translation, Office staff, Tour guides for Chinese tourists, etc. Because many Chinese people come to Vietnam to start businesses, there is a high demand to learn about and explore Vietnam, so the Tourism sector is also very welcomed.
Q: How does your time studying at Phu Xuan University play a role in your career journey?
Bích Hóa: Up to now, I have been with PXU for 3 years, and I really enjoy studying in this environment. Teachers always have new teaching methods, theory combined with practical application, making me not feel bored when attending classes. The teachers at Phu Xuan University are very dedicated in teaching and bringing students to practical realities. Especially, if you are a student of Phu Xuan University, you don't need to worry about job opportunities because PXU commits that the stable employment rate for PXU students is up to 90%. In this internship period, thanks to the support of the teachers, I have found a job that I desire with a stable salary. After the internship, the university also creates conditions for us to stay and work at the company, and the remaining courses after the internship are not important and can be studied online. PXU always creates the best conditions for students, which I highly appreciate as a student of PXU.
Q: Bich Hoa, can you share some experiences for students in lower classes who are studying Chinese Language at PXU?
Bích Hóa: To find bright spots in studying and developing yourself, the most important factor that I feel is active in learning. Do not hesitate to express your opinions with teachers, do not hesitate because of fear of making mistakes, each mistake will bring an unforgettable lesson. Always actively communicate with friends, this will increase dynamism and liveliness for yourself, and it also helps a lot in studying.
In my perception, in any field, any major we pursue, there are unique prospects. As long as we always strive and put in all our effort to pursue it, the results will never disappoint ourselves.
