About this event

The workshop aims to share the results of a two-year research project: "ENHANCING STATUS AND CAPACITY FOR ETHNIC MINORITY YOUTH IN VIETNAM TO REORIENT APPROPRIATE WORK IN THE FUTURE" (REWORK PROJECT).

Main research topics in the REWORK project:

  • What do we understand about "Appropriate jobs" for ethnic minority youth aged 18-25 in Vietnam, one of the fastest-growing economies globally?
  • Factors related to "Appropriate jobs": Results obtained from over 1000 surveys.
  • The relationship between enhancing status and empowerment with access to "appropriate jobs": Results from 105 in-depth interviews.
  • The transformation and self-recognition of ethnic minority youth through dialogue/cooperation methods.
  • Effective application of dialogue/cooperation methods for different research subjects.
  • Factors promoting the development of professions, policies, businesses, and training institutions.

"Appropriate jobs" are not only a goal for sustainable development according to the United Nations but also signify creating a healthy work environment for individuals and communities to have opportunities for both physical and mental stability.

"Appropriate jobs" aim to enhance the status and empower vulnerable groups. These groups are directly affected by physical and mental health issues, poverty, and inequality.
The workshop will take place over two days, and organizers invite educators, researchers, policy planners, recruiters, and interested students to participate.

The workshop will share and discuss research results with educators, researchers, policy planners, recruiters, and students.
